I was Mary, Tito’s spouse
In the evening and the morning
Read the Bible page and story
To Almighty God I prayed
And two children He conveyed
How I wish I’d lived some more
So to travel, to explore
But death, with your ugly name
Young you took me when you came
So to leave my boy unwedded
And my girl’s wedding uncarried
But I left these dead and cold
