The Taxi
Taxi, may you burn by flame
That from Sibiu once you came
Long Romanian land and wide
Couldn’t find elseplace to drive
Than right by our door outside
And then with me to collide
As my parents mourned and cried
’s nothing that you miss so vile
Like your offspring when they die
Neither is the grief so nigh
As your lady when she dies
Long my parents as they live
At my resting place will grieve
Forever you’ll be in our thoughts
